At the CLC 2023 congress Prof. Ingo Gestring will present a plenary lecture.
Personal Background and Education:
Prof. Gestring studied at the Leibniz University Hanover/Germany and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison/USA and got his Ph.D. in the field of mechanical engineering.
Professional career and Other Activities:
He started his career at Volkswagen, where he held different positions in Dresden, Wolfsburg and at Bentley in Crewe/England. He was the director of production and logistics at the Transparent Factory. Since 2009 he has been lecturing in the field of production logistics and supply chain management with a focus on the automotive supply chain and sustainable supply chain management. From 2015 to 2021 he was dean of the faculty of business administration. He holds lectures in international MBA programs and is an auditor for different accreditation agencies. Prof. Gestring is a member of the German Logistics Association and the Asian German Knowledge Network Logistics. In 2022 he conducted research about sustainable raw materials supply chains in South Africa.
